The Pupil Premium is additional grant funding provided to support pupils who are or have been eligible for free school meals. It also includes 'looked after children' and children from forces families.

Due to the small numbers of pupils receiving this at Papillon we are not publishing numbers to ensure anonymity. We received additional funding totalling £11.890  in the Academic Year 2021-2022 to support these children.

In our school the money is used in three main ways:

1. To contribute to the cost of additional teaching and non-teaching staff who provide individual or small group support for pupils.

2. To subsidise attendance on school trips.

3. To trial specific equipment that may benefit the pupil.

The school evaluates the impact on each pupil throughout the year and at the end of each term. We check how pupils’ self-confidence, academic progress and emotional well-being have developed as a result of the intervention.
